Mrs. Shams Hussain, an English-trained literacy teacher, has been working as a Learning and Support Teacher for fourteen years. She has international experience as Vice Principal and an O’Level teacher at an embassy school. She aims to bring experience and knowledge to engage students across all KLA’s in her work and has coordinated Peer Reading Programs and Word Attack Skills Program, including MultiLit extension programs in her workplace. Shams has also immensely contributed towards differentiation, adjustments, and accommodations for students in her school. As a PALS committee member, over several years, she feels accomplished in teaching and learning, as well as in administering diagnostic tools to design and prepare stage-appropriate tasks for her students.
