My name is Betty Kiekebosch. I am the Learning Support Coordinator at St. Edward’s College, East Gosford, a Catholic independent boys’ College with an enrolment of 1100 boys from Years 7-12.  I have now been on the PALS Committee for the last 5 years and am grateful for the opportunity it provides by enabling to “keep up” and gain the support and wisdom of my colleagues.

Prior to teaching on the Central Coast, I taught in Catholic Victorian Primary and Secondary schools, including year level coordinating. I then taught with my husband in an Aboriginal two teacher outstation school for 4 years. This was followed by 3 years of teaching English in Japanese high schools and adult education centers. We then returned to the Northern Territory for another 7 years of teaching in remote Aboriginal Community schools. After 2 years of casual /part-time relief teaching in NSW Departmental schools, I took up my position at St Edward’s where I have been for the last 11 years.
